My Prediction for America, Four Years From November 2012

November 17, 2012

Here is my counterexample to what Conservatives are predicting now that Obama is re-elected: four years from now, the United States will not be a Socialist/Communist hotbed of mayhem, characterized by class/race warfare, declining living standards and vanishing personal freedom. It will be similar to the United States of today, hopefully with an improved economic outlook and lower deficits. In four years, the United States will continue to be a first-world nation, with high technology and opportunities for its most enterprising citizens.

Predictions for America, Post-Election 2012

November 9, 2012

There are many people upset with Barack Obama’s re-election. For this site, the important thing is to log their predictions. Let’s say that these predictions apply to four years hence. In four years we can expect:

Ted Nugent, predicting for April 2013: “”If Barack Obama becomes the president in November, again,” he said, “I will either be dead or in jail by this time next year.” Prediction made in April 2012.

Ted Nugent also predicts economic and spiritual “suicide”: “Goodluk America u just voted for economic & spiritual suicide. Soulless fools”

Victoria Jackson predicts America’s “death”: “I can’t stop crying.America died.”

The military threat from China will escalate significantly, according to Donald Trump: “China’s submarines will soon be carrying nukes  They will be sent to patrol our coasts, Obama won’t do anything.”, Also “China will own America soon.”

There will be economic ramifications also, according to Donald Trump: “Now that the election is over, watch Chrysler ship @Jeep production to China–my prediction.”

Here it is folks. Supposedly the same as 9 months ago. 303 electoral votes for Obama.

“As the last full day of the 2012 presidential campaign gets under way, the Signal’s prediction remains the same as it was nearly nine months ago: President Barack Obama will win reelection with 303 electoral votes, winning Ohio and Virginia but losing Florida to Gov. Mitt Romney.”

Here it is, from Nate Silver (

Nate Silver to Joe Scarborough: Wanna Bet?

By Dashiell Bennett | The Atlantic Wire – 9 hrs ago

Political polling guru Nate Silver is so confident in his statistical models that he just offered to bet MSNBC’s Joe Scarborough $1,000 that Barack Obama will win re-election. Scarborough, you may recall, criticized Silver’s math earlier this week, saying that “Anybody that thinks that this race is anything but a tossup right now is such an ideologue … they’re jokes.” He was specifically talking about Silver’s FiveThirtyEight website, which shows Mitt Romney with just a 1-in-4 chance of becoming president.

Silver has spent the week firing back, criticizing political pundits for not understanding how odds and probability work and aggressively defending his method against critics. As the week has progressed, his model has only shown Obama’s chances of winning increasing, which has not coincidentally increased Silver’s confidence in the outcome. (As of this morning, Five Thirty Eight gives Obama a 79 percent chance of winning, with a final Electoral College total over 300.)
